To build a world wide database of “collectable” Teddy Bear artists and manufacturers. Our list will include both present and past artists / manufacturers.
A place for artists and collectors to meet, we are building a community. This will be achieved through our mailing list, artist database and forums. We are also looking at other creative ways to reach the Teddy Bear Community and grow the user base.
To spread awareness about Teddy Bear collecting.
All artists can directly edit their bio page! If you have not received an email from us with your login information, please send us an email and we will set this up for you. You will then have the ability to login, upload pictures, change contact and description information. Use the contact link located at the top right of the web site to send us an email.
Either we found you in the search engines or someone recommended your site.
No and nor will it.

Any number of ways. One sure way to get consideration is to link to our site and let us know you did just that. But that is not all, we review artists and judge for ourselves. If bears are quality, award winning (not mandatory), or if the artist is up and coming. Those are some of the ways. Ultimately, it is a judgement call on our behalf. No monetary motivation exists, we want our featured artist to mean something.
We know every artist deserves to be featured. If you are a collector, remember that their are many artists on this site that create fantastic Teddy Bears and we encourage you to visit all of the artist pages.
Are only Teddy Bear artists featured? No, stuffed animal artists will be featured as well.
Add a link to our site from yours! We have a “link to us page” where you can find the code to add to your web site. Also, please feel free to send us suggestions using our email link. The inbox is always open to comments!
Also, if you know of Teddy Bear artists / manufacturers that no longer exist and contributed a substantial (someone who existed for 10 years or more and was active in the industry) amount of bears to the community, please email us their information and we will add them to the site.
The two could be a matter of perspective, but, we try to define a manufacturer as someone who creates 1,000 bears or more per year. Artists tend to release small limited additions or create “one-of-a-kinds”.
Nearly all artist bears are collectables. The line can be fuzzy when it comes to manufacturers. Generally, companies who release limited additions and whose products are not won at carnivals are considered collectables! 🙂 Product quality is also a gauge in our definition of collectables.
Basically, if the Teddy Bears are of good quality, come in limited additions or are unique (often with artists) then we would consider them collectable. Obviously, popularity plays a roll in determining this as well but popularity does not determine whether someone is added to our system.
Teddy Bear artists are sorted in priority. If an artist has been active in the site, contains a picture, description and web site then those artists will have a high ranking sorted by company name. Historical artists are sorted at the bottom of the list.
If you do not want to be listed on Teddy-Bears.org, we will remove you from our database. Use the contact form and send us your company name and your company and/or image will be removed.
